In this string above, I think "dpdown:a3" should be "dpdown:h.0.4".įor the should button issue, I'm wondering if this isn't because the Gamepad controller has no equivalent of the left shoulder button, and for whatever reason, this causes it to be treated as always pressed. The string I posted in the "gamecontrollerdb.txt" file is as follows:ħ9004318000000000000504944564944,MAYFLASH GameCube Controller Adapter,a:b1,b:b0,x:b2,y:b3,start:b9,rightshoulder:b7,dpup:h0.1,dpdown:a3,dpleft:h0.8,dpright:h0.2,leftx:a4,lefty:a1,rightx:a5,righty:a2,lefttrigger:b4,righttrigger:b5,platform:Windows, Same problem with the shoulder buttons in Steam Big Picture mode: as soon as I press one of them they will act as if they remain pressed even when I'm not touching the buttons. Additionally, if I try to remap any button ingame, it will automatically register as one of the shoulder buttons before I get the time to map the button I want. Unfortunately, while the control stick works just fine in the menu, whenever I start the game and try to save, both Up on the control stick and the dpad aren't working, while right/left are working like normal. I was actually able to map buttons on the configuration page, and when I opened the game my controller was being recognized! Okay, so I did what the link you posted told me to do, copied the mapping string into that txt file, and opened Big Picture Mode. If you do get it working this way, can you post the string so that I can update the default file? Thanks a lot for the quick response! If you do get it working this way, can you post the string so that I can update the default file? I don' t know if this will fix it for Steam but it's worth a shot for Axiom Verge. Then, use Steam to "Browse Local Files" for Axiom Verge's root folder and add the settings to "gamecontrollerdb.txt". You could try using this tool to get a mapping string: However, whenever I try to remap the inputs in the "Detected Controllers" section, Steam stops recognizing my controller on that page and that page only if I press Esc on my keyboard to go back to the Settings page, the controller works like normal again.Īnyone have any ideas on what I should do? Here's the problem though: whenever I open Big Picture Mode, go into Settings and then Add/Test Controller, im able to have my controller register, and I can then browse Steam no problem with my controller. I tried searching around and was told that I should configure the controller in Big Picture Mode and then it would work ingame.
